Corsets and proper foundation garments are of foremost importance when depicting a character from any period through history. During the Victorian era, and for centures prior, corsets were a fundamental part of a woman's life. They became extremely important in achieving the fashionable fitted styles of the time. Corsets provided a foundation for the highly decorative garments, smoothing body lines and improving shape.

It is for these reasons that DND Corset Company set out to create corsets that were comfortable, affordable and easily obtainable, in standard sizing. DND Corset Company continually researches actual garments and patterns from the period in order to provide the best reproductions possible. Patterns are based upon original patterns from the period, adapted to the modern body for comfort fit and wear.
