Josie Bonnet Pattern Description: This cute little 1880's Victorian bonnet is correct for the latter part of the Victorian era, say 1879-1888. The bonnet sits toward the back of the head. Smaller bonnets would have bene worn at any time through that period . They can be decorated simply or piled high as in the mid 1880's.

The inside of the brim was typically pleated or rusched. A comb is suggested for staying power placed at the back of the front brim so that it attaches to hair and keeps the bonnet stable.
